If you’re already planning ahead for next year’s carnival week then here are the all important dates for your diary:
Sadly, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the torchlight parade and fireworks, but the good news is we’ve got a fun family evening planned instead!
There will be games, music and a BBQ from 6pm on Sunday, outside the Lobster Pub until the drawing of the raffles at 8.15pm.
See you there!
After consultations with Sheringham Golf Course, Titanium Firworks and the Norfolk Fire Service we regret to inform you that the Torch light Parade and Fireworks advertised for Sunday evening have been cancelled.
Despite the rain that fell last weekend, the firing site remains tinder dry. We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this causes.
Sheringham Carnival has been chosen by the UK’s leading holiday rentals site HolidayLettings.co.uk (owned by TripAdvisor) as one of the final 11 competitors in the running to be named the UK’s Most Popular Carnival for 2018.
To win this award, the carnival – taking place in the seaside town of Sheringham, Norfolk – will need to receive the most votes on the Holiday Letting’s website. Voting ends on 21st August (mid-night), with the carnival receiving the most votes crowned “The UK’s Most Popular Carnival 2018” on 22nd August. The winning carnival will also receive an official award certificate from Holiday Lettings (of TripAdvisor) to commemorate their win.
To drum up the support for your carnival, vote here – and feel free to encourage others to do the same!

It is with regret that we have to announce that due to technical difficulties, the Yak 52 flying display which was scheduled to be part of our Crowning Day on Sunday, has been cancelled. All other published events will be going ahead.
