The Queen’s Procession

Queen Elizabeth IIYou are invited to come together and observe a moment of reflection to mourn and commmemorate the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II.

A one-minute silence will be observed after an introduction from the Sheringham Town Crier. The foot procession will then move on from the Lobster pub. A lone piper playing the lamentĀ The Flowers of the ForestĀ will lead, followed by the Royal British Legion standard bearer and the Sheringham Town Crier.

Anyone wishing to participate in the foot procession should convene at the Lobster pub and line up along Wyndham Street prior to 4pm. The procession will set off from the Lobster pub, proceed up High Street to the town clock, continue up Station Road and culminate at the Station Road car park, with a closing ceremony led by the Town Mayor, the Commercial Manager of North Norfolk Railway and the Sheringham Town Crier.

The foot parade is open to the public in addition to those in 1940s regalia.

Sheringham Carnival is privileged to provide this opportunity for everyone to pay their respects.
